Q

Do you usually carry a wallet?

A

Yes, I certainly do, I don’t think I could get by
without one. I have a brown leather one, I’ve had it for donkey’s years actually, so it’s a bit tatty and frayed and I use it to carry my credit cards, ID, a family photo and the like.

Get by= Survive: کنار آمدن
تحمل کردن
دوام آوردن
for donkey’s year: for a long time
Tatty: not in good condition
Frayed: getting old
and the like: things like that

Q

Have you ever lost your
wallet?

A

Yes, and it was a nightmare. I had to cancel my bank cards, and reapply for a new ID. It was also a shame that I lost a couple of photos that have sentimental value for me. Luckily, I hardly had any cash in it.
