1
Q
Why is evil justified for Irenaeus
A
Evil becomes justified by humans growing into better people from experiencing suffering.
2
Q
Free will defence:
A
God allows suffering to happen so people can have genuine free will. A truly good God would want people to be truly free, not pre-programmed robots.
3
Q
How does the FWD explain death, a natural evil?
A
- If there was no death, humans would have infinite chances to choose good over bad
4
Q
How do theists object the point that if God knows the future, how can we truly be free?
A
God knows the future only in the sense of knowing all possibilities and consequences that an action might lead to.
