What does the “soul” mean for Plato?
The mind; consciousness, awareness.

What does the spirited part of the soul represent?
Strong emotional feelings. Reactions to injustice, competitiveness, being driven
What does the rational part of the soul represent?
The part that controls the spirited and the appetitive parts of the soul.
