What is a Schmorl’s node?
A
Soft tissue of disc bulges into adjacent vertebrae.

A
- Erect AP
- Erect lateral
- Erect AP lateral flexion views of the spinal column
- PA left hand

When would we perform an MRI with scoliosis patients?
A
If curvature affects spinal cord.

How do we determine Cobb angle?
A
- Line at top of T4.
- Line at bottom of T9.
- Right angles to get Cobb.

What is the Cobb angle used for?
A
Determining degree of scoliotic curvature.

What is Scheuermann’s disease?
A
Vertebrae grow unevenly with respect to sagittal plane, posterior angle often greater than anterior angle.

What is butterfly vertebrae?
A
Segments don’t fully fuse all the way through, affects other segments.
