-slow down and prepare to stop if someonw is waiting to cross

-during flashing amber, give way to pedestrian on crossing
-if its green and there crossing, be patien until theyve finished crossing

-wait for the lights to turn red. as they have sensors to detect when poeple are crossing
what should you do if you see a pedestrian cross a toucan crossing?
-cyclist will also cross at same time as pedestrains during amber phase of lights(no flashing amber) so wait
why are children really vulnerable when crossing the road?
-they can be unpredictable(not likely to look before stepping into road)
why should you drive carfully near schools?
-could be flashing amber lights under school warning sighn (reduce speed until clear)
-prepare for school crossing patrol to stop traffic by steping onto road with road sighn
why should you not wait or stop on yellow zigzag line outside school?
prevents drivers and pedestrians from having a clear view of the crossing area outside school
what does the special sighn at the back of school buses and coaches mean?
-may stop frequently and not just at normal bus stops
why should you be careful when seeing older pedestrians walking ahead?
-may misjudged cars spead. so be patient with them

give then as much room as possible

drive slowly and be ready to stop
