how can cyclists be affected by windy weather?
-be blown sideways
-veer into drivers path more easily
what should the driver do if the motorcylist is infront of you?
-if overtaking, allow extra room
-if motorcylist is overtaking, keep well back, as they could potentially be blow away

a sign to show the road is particulary suceptible to sode winds

what should you do if your following a large vehicle?
-keep well back( especailly when trying to overtake)
-drop further back if another car has filled in the gap
allowing inproved view of road ahead
what should you do if the spray from latge vehicles makes it difficult for the driver to see?
•use dipped headlights
•use rear fog lights if view reduced by 100meters
when should you overtake a large vehicle?
as they are long-it takes longer. so only overtake when you can definatly complete a manouver
when should you guve plenty of room for a large vehicle?
approaching/emerging from
• road junctions
•crossraods
• mini roundabouts
why do large vehicles move in the opposite direction to which they’re indicating?
-because there vehicle is long
what should you do if your waiting to emerge left from minor road and a large vehicle is approaching right?
WAIT: as large vehicles can easily hide an overtaking vehicle
what should you be prepared to do if a pedestrians walks out a bus?
pedestrians may get of and cross road infront of/behind bus.
so prepare to wait for bus.
give way to bus trying to move from bus stop
why should you take extra care of trams?
they’re silent
-move quickly
-cannot steer to avoid you
