at least 18 years of age

get youth engaged in politics; they will continue to vote into adulthood
can vote while still in school and learning about political issues
16 year olds are able to work, pay taxes, be tried in court as adults, fly a plane, join a political party, join Canadian Forces Reserves
give politicians more reason to pay attention to education related issues

current system seems to be effective

18 year olds do not work full time; do not have the same stake in society and do not fully understand how taxes work
