17
Q

Magma forms when what goes down and what goes up?

A

Pressure goes down And tell goes up

18
Q

How many clasifactions are there. What are they.

A

3
Extinct
Dormant
Active

19
Q

What are hotspots? What is an example.

A

Hotspots are volcanically active places far from plate boundaries. Hawaii

20
Q

Is a crater bigger or smaller than a cladera?

A

Smaller

21
Q

What are two ways to predict eruptions. Explain them

A

Measure surface temp and gas emissions- by measuring the surface temp you may be able to tell if a volcanoes is about to erupt. The temp may change dramatically. You can also measure the gas emissions to find when a volcanoes will erupt. If the gas coming out of a volcanoes changes, it could be about to erupt.

Use a tiltameter to measure the volcanoes side- if you use a tiltmeter to measure the side of a volcano, you may be able to predict and volcanoes. If the side of the volcanoes suddenly swells, there may be magma coming up.
