Fire wall
A wall extending from foundations to roof, with a fire resistance rating as prescribed by code, required to subdivide a building or to separate adjoining buildings to resist the spread of fire; it has structural stability so as to withstand extreme heat for the required time

Designers and contractors work for the same company, so generally faster; could be more expensive
Fast track
Design-Award-Build broken down into smaller segments so can start construction before all the drawings are complete
Building code
A code regulating the design, construction, alteration, and repair of buildings, to protect the public safety, health and welfare and to provide access to buildings
Zoning regulations
Municipal bylaws or statutes regulating usage, height, etc. for different areas
