ABCDES
A- reassuring woman she is not alone
B- is expressing the belief that violence against women is not acceptable in any situation and that it is not her fault
C- is confidentiality
D- documentation: clear quoted statement in women’s own words, accurate descriptions of injuries and history of them, information on first, worst, and most recent incident, photos of injuries with consent
E- education.
