Class A Airspace
IFR Only Above 18,000 ft.
Class C Airspace
Visibility: 3 mi Distance from clouds: 1000 ft above 500 ft below 2000 ft horizontal
Class B Airspace
3 Miles
Clear of clouds
Class D Airspace
Visibility: 3 mi Distance from clouds: 1000 ft above 500 ft below 2000 ft horizontal
Class E Airspace
Visibility: 3 mi Distance from clouds: 1000 ft above 500 ft below 2000 ft horizontal
Class G - Day - below 1200’ AGL
1 Mile
Clear of clouds
Class G - Day - above 1200’ AGL
Visibility: 1 mi Distance from clouds: 1000 ft above 500 ft below 2000 ft horizontal
Class G - Night
Visibility: 3 mi Distance from clouds: 1000 ft above 500 ft below 2000 ft horizontal
IFR Standard Takeoff Minimums
Part 91 Operations: no minimums
Part 121, 125, 129, 135 Operations:
If no takeoff minimums are prescribed under part 97 for that airport then:
Two engines or less - 1 mile visibility
More than two engines - 1/2 mile visibility
Class E Airspace - Above 10,000’ MSL
Visibility 5 mi Distance from clouds: 1000' Above 1000' Below 1 mi horizontal
All Airspace from 14,500 MSL to 18,000 MSL is?
Class E
