- dizziness lasting hours/days
- occurs with nausea and vomiting
- viral prodromal symptoms

3 days in bed
3 weeks off work
3 months off balance

management
A
generally self-limiting
supportive e.g. vestibular sedatives such as lorazepam
rehabilitation exercises can aid faster recovery
