for oral lesions of erythema multiforme, what treatment would you provide a pt?

A

Urgent medical therapy:
- systemic steroids
- systemic aciclovir

Encourage fluid intake (may need IV fluid if unable to drink)

Encourage analgesia

if RECURRENT;
- consider prophylactic aciclovir
- allergy test - possible trigger?

A

most common oral blister condition

sudden appearance of blood filled blister in the mouth (Buccal mucosa & soft palate - most common)

usually painless, no scarring

Use Chx if you wish
