  • Anything GDP thinks cancer/dysplasia
  • Symptomatic lesion not responding to standard tx (SDCEP)
  • Any BENIGN lesion that pt cant be persuaded is not cancer

A

some are sensitive with acidic/spicy foods
intermittent
much worse in younger children

haematinic deficiency (B12, folate, iron)
parafunction trauma
dysaesthesia

A

smoothe tongue has a result of atrophy with some inflammation of the tongue.

A
  • symptomatic
  • abnormal overlying & surrounding mucosa
  • increasing in size
  • rubbery consistency
  • trauma from teeth
