Exceptions to cleaning the apparatus would include:
During sub-freezing temperatures.
When it is currently raining or snowing and likelihood of the apparatus responding to an incident just after shift change is high.
When the off-going company responds to an early morning incident that
results in a return to quarters close to shift change.
What does daily cleaning include but is not limited to:
The exterior of the cab and body of the apparatus.
Clean all exterior windows and mirrors.
Removal of any debris, clutter, and/or trash from the interior of the cab and
patient compartment of medic.
The patient compartment shall be mopped out at the end of each shift and
as necessary.
The cleaning of any exterior mounted equipment such as: light poles,
ladders, pike poles, spotlights, etc.
What does weekly cleaning include but is not limited to:
Cleaning of the cab dashboard, doghouse, floors, compartments, etc.
Inspect, clean, and maintain all hand tools.
Clean all backboards as needed.
Inspect and clean all ground ladders.
Clean interior mounted equipment such as prams, grab bars, seating,
SCBA’s, etc.
When should all items listed above for weekly cleaning be performed _____

What is an exception to cleaning guidelines?
Apparatus that has not moved or been used for extended periods of time.
When should the apparatus be waxed?
Twice a year (April/October) all painted surfaces should be waxed
