Define Vasculitides
small vessel vasculitis Mainly ANCA (anti nutreophyle, cytoplasmic AB) associates vasculitis (3 forms-microscopic polyangitis, Granumalotis with polyangitis and Eosinophillic granulamotis with polyangitis)
and Immune complex vasculitides- (IGA disease)
Signs and Sx of Vasculitides
generally-fever, malaise, fatigue, etc
mainly be aware of them-if can’t think infection, and can’t find malignancy—> then maybe its vasculitis
ANCA-GPA-upper airway-nose bleed, sinusitis, saddle nose
Pulm involvement,
Glomerulonephritis
IGa disease-deposit in vessels-skin, joints,
purpuric rashes, bowel inflammation, arthritis, abdominal pain
usually follows an upper airway disease

ANCA-damage to neutrophils cause reaction-inflammation around the area that the neutrophils are damaged in

ANCA present-
Or High IgA
Epiemology of Vasculitides
rare af-but important to have as differential for fevers if no infection or malignancy found
