Golfers elbow

A

Medial epicondylitis is also known as golfer’s elbow.

Grip strength may be decreased in either medial or lateral epicondylitis, and pain exacerbated Measurement of grip strength may be used as an objective tool to assess recovery

Features
pain and tenderness localised to the medial epicondyle
pain is aggravated by wrist flexion and pronation
symptoms may be accompanied by numbness / tingling in the 4th and 5th finger due to ulnar nerve involvement

The majority of patients afflicted with epicondylitis will have complete resolution of their symptoms with arm rest and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) therapy
rest, ice, and activity modification of the elbow and forearm for 6 weeks
