PHACES Syndrome
posterior fossa, hemangioma, arterial anomalies (internal carotid/cerebral a.), cardiac issues (coarctation of aorta), eye issues (cataracts), sternal cleft or supra umbilical raphe
Tx: MRI/MRA followed by oral propranolol
LUMBAR/SACRAL
LUMBAR : lower body hemangioma, urogenital anomalies, myelopathy, bony deformity, anorectal malformation, renal anomalies
SACRAL : spinal dysraphism, anogenital anomalies, cutaneous anomalies, renal and anal anomalies, angioma of lumbosacral area
Tx: topical propranolol +/- MRI or ultrasound IFF hemangioma crosses midline of lower spine
Neonatal hemangiomatosis
benign > 5 limited to skin
diffuse > 5 with internal involvement (often liver), may lead to liver failure or high output heart failure
Tx topical propranolol
