A
Funnel shaped lateral end of the tube.
Ends in finger like projections-fimbriae.

A
Fimbriae

How does the oocyte move along the tube?
A
By cilia in the tubes mucus lining and peristaltic contractions of it’s smooth muscle layer.

Is this the usual site of fertilization?
A
Yes, fertilization may occur up to 24 hours after ovulation.
The fertilized ovum descends I got he uterus within seven days.
Unfertilized secondary zygote oocytes disintegrate.
