The right of the people to serve in their persons houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures shall not be violated, there are emergency exceptions
4th amendment
You’re not compelled to testify against yourself in a court of law and you cannot be tried for the same crime twice. You can be charged for the same crime twice if the first time you don’t go to court. You cannot have your life, liberty, or property taken away without due process (a trial). The government cannot take away your property without public purpose and a fair amount of money
5th amendment
You have the right to a speedy trial (the government has one year to get you into trial) You have the right to a public trial, right to be informed of charges, right to a jury trial, right to call witnesses, (they have to show up but they can plead the fifth)you have the right to attorney (if you cannot afford an attorney one will be provided for you). You have the right to confront and cross examine witnesses
