Crystals
may or may not be of clinical significance
Struvite Crystals (magnesium ammonium phosphate, triple phosphate)
may be associated with lower urinary tract disease, can be found in slightly acidic urine
Ammonium Biurate Crystals
commonly found in Dalmatians
Calcium Oxalate
generally in acidic urine
Dihydrate Calcium Oxalate
found in healthy animals
Monohydrate Calcium Oxalate
seen in animals with ethylene glycol toxicity
Leucine, Cystine, Tyrosine
may indicate hepatic disease, found in a acidic urine
