A

What is the course of the ureter in the pelvis?

A

It crosses the pelvic brim at the bifurcation of the common internal iliac artery , over the external iliac artery then passes in front of the internal iliac artery. It crosses the obturator nerve, obliterated umbilical artery, and the obturator artery and vein. (R appendix ??)

A

Here it turns forwards and medial to enter the bladder at the upper lateral angle.

It lies in the base of the broad ligament on the posterior peritoneal layer, crossed superficially by the uterine artery, crossing the lateral vaginal fornix, 1-2 cm from the cervix
