-take blood for iX : FBC, UE culture, Scr, Uric acid, calcium
-CT KUB gold standard: can detect size, location, density
-USS also useful initially : younger, pregnant: see hydronephrosis
-advice high fluid intake>refer nephrologist if stone not passed in 48hrs or pain recurrs and worsens>
-sx options: endoscopic, US destruction or open surgery depend on site and size of stone
