-complete excision with adequate margin, help differentiate from SCC and other skin malignancies>sent for histology to confirm diagnosis

A
coomonest skin cancer: 80 percent
-fair skinned, >35 years
-site:
sun exposed areas: face, neck, upper trunk, limbs
can occur in other areas as well
-has characteristic rodent ulcer look
TYPES
Nodular,ulcerated, cystic, pigmented, morpheic
-prgonosis:
grows slowly over period of years
has local spread, problematic if eyes, nose, ears>burrows
do not metastatsise
