A
The deterioration of the inner city areas often caused by lack of investment. It leads to a drop in the population and rise in unemployment

A
When a persons quality of life is below the minimum for Britain today (60% of the median income)

Describe the spread of deprivation across the UK:
A
- on average, the most deprivation is in the north of the uk, mainly in the major cities such as Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle
- along the east coast as business is seasonal and therefore their income is not consistent
- the least deprived areas are around London and also the center of England.
- lots of deprived areas in London, mostly the north east
