Decongestants
Irrigation

How do you treat bacterial sinusitis
No decongestants or antihistamines
When do you use ABx for sinusitis?
- Persistent symptoms >10 days w/ no improvement
- Severe symptoms >3-4 days (102 Fever, purulent nasal discharge, facial pain)
- Worsening symptoms ~5days/double sickening (New fever, HA, ^ nasal discharge)
ABx treatment for sinusitis
- Augumentin (Amoxicillin/Clavulanate)
- Fluoroquinolones
-Clindamycin + Cefpodix/Cefurox (Mild)
Duration of ABx treatment for Adults
5 - 7 days
Duration of ABx treatment for Kids
10 - 14 days
