Ball & socket
Ligaments: glenohumeral, coracohumeral, transverse, capsule & dependent pouch, coracoacromial
Bursa: subdeltoid, infraspinatus, subacromial
Stabilisers at terminal ranges:
- Superior GH lig= 0* @ max adduction
- Middle GH lig= 45-60*- abduction, prevents anterior dislocation
- Ant band of inf GH lig = max abduction and external rotation
Other stabilisers/potential dislocators: latissimus dorsi, teres major, pec major, biceps
Sternoclavicular joint
Modified saddle with fibrocartilage meniscus
Ligaments: anterior & capsule; costoclavicular - ant & post; interclavicular
Acromioclavicular joint
Plane wth fibrocartilage meniscus
LIG: acromioclavicular, coracoclavicular- 2 trapezoid; coracoclavicular- 3 conoid
Elbow joint
AKA: humero-ulnar
Hinge
LIG: Oblique cord, interosseous mem, annular quadrate, radial lateral collateral, ulnar medial collateral, fibrous capsule
Wrist
LIG: ulnar collateral, radial collateral, dorsal radiocarpal, interosseous, pisometacarpal
Fingers
