Hand- nerve supply Flashcards
Median Nerve branches
Palmar cutaneous branch- sensory skin of thenar palm
Recurrent branch, lateral and medial branch: Lateral 2 lumbricals, Opponens pollicis, Abductor pollicis brevis, Flexor pollicis brevis
Median nerve associated structures
carpal tunnel
tendons of: flexor pollicis longus, flexor digitorum superficialis, flexor digitorum profundus
Median nerve sensory branches
palmar- digits 1–>3, half of 4
Dorsal - fingertips of digitis 1–> 3, half of 4
Ulnar nerve branches
Palmar cutaneous - sensory innervation to hypothenar palm
Dorsal cutaneous branch - deep fascia
Dorsal digital branches - sensory innervation to 5th digit and medial half of 4th digit
Deep branch - motor to: abductor digiti minimi, flexor digitis minimi brevis, opponenes digitii minimi, 2 medial lumbricals, dorsal and palmar interosseous, adductor pollicis, deep head of flexor pollicis brevis
Superficial branch- cutanoues innervation to palmar 5th digit and medial half of 4th digit.
Radial nerve branches
Superficial branch - sensory to lateral 2/3 of hand dorsum, dorsal proximal parts of digits 2 & 3 and lateral half digit 4
