university specific - plymouth Flashcards
1
Q
why plymouth
A
- credibility of university; nursing programs at Plymouth accredited by NMC, which ensures high standards of education and preparation for clinical practice
- variety of study locations; most options out of universities I’ve picked - allows students to pick what distance they want to be from home; plymouth, exeter or truro
- i’m really looking forward to the placements and I love that there is such a range of placement settings (based throughout south west region) that I could experience such as the walk in centre to prison service; I definitely haven’t seen this wide range of placement options for any other universities - really ensures I’m exposed to diverse clinical environments
- I’m also really interested by the clinical skills labs at Plymouth. As someone who believes in ‘practice makes perfect’; the skills labs will be a perfect opportunity for me to practice nursing safely and build confidence before working with actual patients.
