Childhood
Children’s bodies and sexual organs are not mature and cannot yet perform the reproductive function.
Puberty
Puberty is the process of physical changes through which a child’s body matures into an adult body capable of sexual reproduction. It is triggered by the action of hormones that control sexual development.
Adulthood
This is when most people are fertile (able to reproduce). There are exceptions to this.
Menopause (female only)
The times when a woman menstrual periods stop permanently and then they can no longer reproduce. (they are no longer fertile.
Old age
The last stage in the life cycle of a human. The cells are ageing.
What are the symptoms of menopause?
Hot flushes
vaginal dryness
weight gain
bone loss
mood swings
insomnia
depression
night sweats
Irregular periods.
