The Reform Movement was the time where people wanted a social change.In terms such as abolition ,women’s rights ,education,prison reform, and alcohol.
What were the Reform Movements called?
They were called the Abolitionist Movement, The Temperance Movement,The Prison reform Movement,The women’s suffrage movement,The education reform movement and much more.
What did the Abolitionist Movement do?
It was a movement created to abolish meaning end or ban slavery.Abolitionist wanted to this to happen because they thought it was a violation to human rights.Some Abolitionist were Harriet Tubman, William Lloyd, and Frederick Douglass.
What did the Women’s Suffrage Movement do?
The Women’s Suffrage Movement was created to fight and achieve the right for women to vote in the U.S.This then led the 19th amendment to be passed which gave them the right to vote.
How did the Reform Movements impact the U.S.
The Reform Movements impacted the U.S by making social changes making peoples perspectives and opinions more included and changing the political landscape.
