A period of expansion towards political power to common man and popular sovereignty
How did Jackson help involve popular sovereignty and common man more into politics?
Jackson’s Political power the democrats believed the people had power and that a government should reflect the idea of the people meaning the voters.This raised common man to vote because it made their perspective of Jackson a humble man from humble beginnings making them want to vote for him and be more included.
What events or things did Andrew Jackson do when being a president?
He did things such as the Nullification Crisis, the Indian Removal Act, Spoils System and destroyed the National Bank.
Why did Jackson destroy the National Bank?
Jackson thought the Bank was Unconstitutional that Congress lacked power and only favored the wealthy men and effected the common man so he decided to destroy it through his veto
What is the Indian Removal Act?
The Indian Removal act is the forced removal of Native Americans from their lands West to The Mississippi River towards America which was passed by Jackson even tho they didn’t have the power to do so.This was all done for white settlement in Native Lands even tho Native lived their for many generations.
