Reconstruction was mainly about how would the U.S add newly freed slaves into their social, political, and labor systems.

The U.S added newly freed slaves into their system doing the Freedmen’s Bureau, the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments.
What did the Freedmen’s Bureau do?
The Freedmen’s Bureau provided food, housing, medical aid, and a new establishment of schools towards freed slaves.
What did the 13th, 14th, and 15th Amendments do?
The 13th Amendment abolished slavery.The 14th Amendment granted citizenship to all persons born or naturalized in the United States, including formerly enslaved people.And lastly the 15th Amendment gave a right for everyone to vote no matter what race, color, or condition.
How did Reconstruction Change the U.S.
Reconstruction changed the U.S by making colored people be more known and share more their opinions by being more included.And have more rights and privileges.
