Appetite stimulant, sends the “I’m hungry” signal. Motivates you to eat
Leptin
Signals satiety (fullness). Motivates you to stop eating.
Melatonin
Deals with sleep, production naturally increases at night.
Neuropeptide
Hormones that affect mood and well being
Endorphin
(Neuropeptide)
Neuropeptide. Known as the ‘happiness hormone’. Released whenever pain or stress is felt
Oxytocin
Known as the ‘love hormone’. Linked to warm feelings, trust, empathy, and relationship building.
Adrenaline
Responds to stress. Fight or Flight response. Increases blood pressure, dilates eyes
Cortisol
Affect of Chronic Stress. Suppresses immune system, increases blood sugar and blood pressure, contributes to weight gain and acne.
