Explain the importance of layout.
Layout of a document can determine whether a person will choose to read it or just ignore it. Successful marketing campaigns rely on layout of documents.
What does being embedded into a document mean?
Data can be pasted as an embedded object. An embedded object is created with one application.
Why are documents embedded?
Embedding an object ensures that the object keeps its original format.
Why are databases linked to spreadsheets?
Any changes happening in the database occurs in the spreadsheet.
Why are links pasted in documents?
The object pasted is linked to the original source document, if the data is changed in the source, the change happens automatically in the linked copy.
Explain the use of images and screenshots.
Images and screenshots can easily be inserted into a document to explain things better and improve how the document looks.
Explain the use of graphs and charts.
Graphs and charts can be inserted directly from the insert tab.
This can be formatted in ways by adding labels, showing sizes of slices of pie, etc.
Explain the use of tables.
A table with any number of rows and columns can be inserted into a document and can be copied and pasted from other documents.
They are an effective way of presenting and manipulating information. They are used in many different types of software from word processing programs to spreadsheets and databases.
Define text
Insert text from another document by highlighting and copying it in the first document and then pasting it into the second one.
Define text boxes
Boxes filled with text can be manipulated moved and formatted independently of the main text document.
