What are some examples of Emergent patients when doing Triage
Emergent (life threatening)
-Chest pain with diaphoresis
-Hemorrhage
-Respiratory distress
-Stroke
-Vital sign instability
What are some examples of Urgent patients when doing Triage
Urgent (needs quick treatment, but not immediately life threatening)
-Abdominal pain (severe)
-Fractures(open) (displaced or multiple)
-Renal colic
-Respiratory infection (especially pneumonia in older adults)
-Soft-tissue injuries (complex or multiple)
What are some examples of Nonurgent patients when doing Triage
Nonurgent (could wait several hours if needed without fear of deterioration)
-Fracture (simple)
-Rashes
-Strains and
-sprains
-Urinary tract infection
