Why does river flow faster in lower course?
-Bed and bank eroded already
-Wide and deep
-Less friction (as wider and deeper) allows faster water movement
Why does lower course flood more?
-Wider flood plain
-as it is flatter
-Meaning water can more easily spread out and flood
