What change did Pericles introduce into Greek government to make it more democratic?
Pericles introduced direct democracy which allowed citizens to rule directly. He also increased the number of paid public officials and jurors. This allowed poorer citizens to participate in government too.
In what ways is a republic different from direct democracy?
Direct democracy is direct rule from each and every citizen.
Republic is citizens who have the right get to elect leaders to make there government decisions. The difference is who’s hands the power rests in.
What does the phrase”government of laws not of men” mean?
It means that no one is above the law, even the rulers or powerful people.

The Hebrews taught that the community and individuals should help unfortunate.

They challenged the authority of the Catholic Church and made it so that most of Europe didn’t have just one religion

Common law is common for the whole kingdom but Roman law is expressed by the ruler
