Commonly refers to patients that are out of touch with reality.
Can be caused by a mood disorder or by use of certain drugs
Symptoms: Delusion, hallucinations, disorganized behavior and negative symptoms
Primary Goal of Psychotherapeutics
To obtain a response to drug therapy and improve patients symptoms. Drugs should be administers with therapies like counseling.
Antipsychotic Drugs
Treatment of serious mental illness or health disorders.
