INTRINSIC MOTIVATION:
Where one is driven by positive feels (internal) associated with doing well on a task or job.
EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION:
Drives people to do thing sin order to attain specific outcomes (external) These people are fueled by their desire to achieve (or avoid) some result of his or her behavior.

Laissez-Faire:
View the development of their subordinates as someone else’s problem and demonstrate laziness.
Management By Exception-Passive (MBE-P)
“If it isn’t broke, don’t fix it” One who elects to sit back and wait for things to go wrong before taking action, intervenes only if standards aren’t met.
MBE-P Creates Opportunity For:
Social Loafing & Free Riding
Management By Exception-Active
Keeps people and processes in control, monitoring and controlling followers though forced compliance with rules, regulations, & expectations.
Transactional Leadership
& Contingent Reward:
Involves the constructive transaction between the leader and the follower.
Skinner’s Operant Conditioning Theory
Considers a method of learning that occurs though rewards & punishments. Positive Reinforcement & Negative Reinforcement; Positive & Negative punishment.
