Evidence of wealth inequalities in gender?
Glass ceiling ( women can’t climb promotion ladder usually senior management role)
73% women felt that barriers still exist for those seeking senior management and board level positions.
Women are more likely to suffer from poverty as they get paid less , have to take career breaks and are more likely to be a lone parent.
Average gender pay gap was 15.7% which is around £5000 a year. Women under represented in high paying jobs and over represented in the 5cs.

What is the governments response to gender inequality in wealth? (3)
Sex discrimination act 1975 - cant award job based on gender
Equal pay act 1970
Employment protection act - illegal to sack women because of pregnancy or childbirth.
What are health inequalities in gender?
Men are four times more likely to commit suicide because they find in difficult to talk.
Women have a higher rate of illness but they go to the doctors more often when something is wrong.
Women have a longer life expectancy because men more likely to take risks=

Only 1 % of Breast cancer patients are male.
Testicular cancer is male only.
