What is the smith commission ( the vow)
Set up by the UK government after the independence referendum to look at devolving more powers to the Scottish parliament.
Main points are:
set rates of income tax
First 10% of VAT goes to Scottish government
What is devo-max?
Having all the power but not being independent.
What is the scotland act 2016?
A recommendation of further powers to give to Scotland based on the vow. Including abortion, parking, traffic signs, speed limits and equal opportunities.
