Reading According to Program
The objective is that how the teachers pronounce it, the students follow.
read aloud
a collaboration. Trying to understand the same material with someone and sharing your understanding.
shared
- the teachers give questions about the story so we know what to look for and which details are important.
Guided
- Being fluent in reading, it is expected that you repeatedly read it so that there is practice. Students first then the teacher for corrections, unlike reading aloud.
Fluency
- your choice of materials. DEAR; drop everything and read. Schools that have the DEAR program do not give specific reading materials so that the students may choose. This is an example of independent reading, for personal pleasure.
Independent
- They find out what is your reading level and give you books accordingly.
Developmental
- to choose. You choose what you want to read and what part.
Selective
- when you are below your expected reading level. For people who cannot cope easily with reading activities. A program where the teachers help the students read and they are guided so that they may meet the standards set for them.
Remedial
- your own way of making sure that you understand what you are reading.

Reading According to Performance
- when you are supposed to start and stop is dictated. How much information you can get in a shorter period of time. It is reading it fast but taking most information you can get
Speed reading
- our brain vocalizes. Trying to produce a sound to yourself. Reading silently but in your mind you know how to read it. It is all about the how.
Subvocalized
- not to understand the whole thing, but to look for mistakes and make sure there are no errors.
Proofreading
It is a suggestion that you divide the reading task into 3. First, check the structure. Next is to propose meaning or to give meaning to each part that has been divided. Last is to evaluate, to make sure what you read makes sense or if it is true, deciding whether or not you believe it.
