Thrust SET as needed for flight conditions. Change thrust only if needed to modify unacceptable speed trend.

Cruise FCM recommended thrust setting. FMC inop, use unreliable airspeed page PI QRH for N1 setting.that maintain near optimum penetration speed.
Descend .76, 280, 250 kts, whichever lower. Sever Turb below 15000ft, weight less MLW, 250kts may be used.
