Bacille Calmette Guerin (BCG)
Treatment for LTBI
Isoniazid and rifapentine once a week x12 weeks
Rifampin QD x16 weeks
Isoniazid and Rifampin daily x12 weeks
What can you give to mitigate peripheral neuropathy with LTBI but is NOT part of CDC recommneded treatment
Pyroxidine
Sx of active TB infection
prolonged and productive cough, w or w/o hemoptysis, chest discomfort and pain, low grade fever, decreased appetite, anorexia. night sweats
