Hep A
This hepatitis is transmitted though exposure to infective bood, semen, body fluids, contaminated blood products, and IV drug use. Incubation period is avg 90 days.
Hep B
This Hepatitis is trasmitted through exposure to infective blood, and IV drug use and sexual transmission is possible but less common. There is no vaccine for it.
Hep C
This hepatitis virus infection occurs only with HBV infection. Hep B vaccines provide protection from it.
Hep D
This hepatitis virus transmitted through consumption of contaminated water or food. common cause of hepatitis outbreaks in developing nations. vaccines are exist but not widely available
Hep E
this is an inflammation of the liver from infection, toxins, autoimmune disease, metabolic disorders.

How is diagnosis made of hepatitis
causative virus cannot be differentiated clinically.
diagnosis is made with hepatitis panel serologic testing.
may also have abnormal WBC, UA, LFT, CMP.
