What is single load rating?
Single load rating is where only a single exposure is made with adequate cooling time before the next exposure.
What is serial load rating?
Serial load rating is where a rapid sequence of repetitive exposures are made with such short intervals between exposures that the sequence is considered as a continuous exposure.
What is continuous load rating?
Continuous load rating is where the tube can be energized continuously since the rate of tube cooling is equal to the rate of heat input, producing a state of equilibrium.
What controls the single load rating?
Single load rating is controlled by the ability of the target face to accept the injection of heat from a single exposure without damage from overheating.
What determines the serial load rating?
Serial load rating is determined by the ability of each part of the whole tube assembly to tolerate the input of heat and the efficiency with which it is cooled by heat transfer.
What is the purpose of a tube rating chart?
A tube rating chart provides a guide regarding the maximum technical factor combinations that can be used without overloading the tube.
