cellulitis
phase I-3, hot
phase II-3, hot
phase III-3, focal(hot)
OM
phase I-2/3,diffuse
phase II-2/3, diffuse
phase III-diffuse pediatric, hot
Charcot joint
phase I-normal/abnormal
phase II-normal/abnormal
phase III-3/4 focal
chronic OM
phase I-3/4 pediatric
phase II-3/4 pediatric
phase III-1/2 pediatric
septic arthritis
(soft tissue infection)
Diffuse uptake (multiple bones)
Hot in the first 2 phases then fades in phase 3 (but doesn’t go to 0)
cellulitis
Increased bone turnover due to increased BF to bone
Hot in all 3 phases and focal (specific bones)
– focal cause the cellulitis part fades so now we just see the uptake in the bone or bones
OM
diffuse uptake (around multiple joints)
hot because there are a lot of bone fractures=hot
Charcot joint
normal or abnormal cause it waxes and Waynes
late phase is hot cause of all the bone remodeling
chronic joint
swollen joint w/ periarticular (both sides of joint) uptake patterns early that then fades in later phases
septic arthritis
