Travel Flashcards
- Why do some people prefer to travel abroad rather than in their own country?
- I have no idea
- BUT WHAT I BELIEVE THOUGH IS THAT not all people have one single reason for traveling abroad.
You know.
Some might want to pursue an education.
Some might just want to learn more about the world
Others might want to change their environment
FOR ME PERSONALLY, I want to travel to anywhere that is better than my own country in terms of the overall quality of living.
- Do you think travelling to another country can change the way people think?
- Yes, of course, I do.
- I STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT the outside environment can influence anyone’s mind.
I don’t know about you but I’ve seen so many of my friends have changed their personalities and ways of life after they came back from other countries. I believe that as you live within another culture, you will slowly adapt to the new environment.
FOR ME PERSONALLY, I think it also applies to me BECAUSE I was so different 5 years ago.
- Do you think it is good for children to experience life in a foreign country?
- WELL I THINK IT REALLY DEPENDS ON the parents
- If some parents are too busy to teach the children the mother - tongue and the culture from the home country, that I think is not good
But if parents also teach their children what it’s like in their home country, that I believe would be amazing BECAUSE the children will see the world from a broader point of view
- How have holidays changed over the past few decades?
- In many different ways
- Notably in Vietnam, I notice many people celebrate Christmas even though they’re not Christian. In many other Western countries, I’ve seen people also recognize Lunar New Year. So thanks to globalization, holidays have been well-recognized all over the world.
FOR ME PERSONALLY, I think this is absolutely a good trend BECAUSE wherever you go, chances are you will still feel at home.
- Do you think it is safer to travel now than in the past?
- Of course, I do
- Believe it or not, air travel is the fastest way to travel. Even safer than cars. Also, over time, roads have been improved a lot and are still improving so it’s now safer than ever to travel.
FOR ME PERSONALLY, I BELIEVE that it was horrible to travel in the past BECAUSE just look at the roads, they were so underdeveloped and dangerous.
Do you like to travel by car?
Nope. There are good reasons why I avoid car trips.
The traffic in Vietnam is a nightmare, especially in the rush hour, everybody has to get into work and schools or get home from those places so there’s just bumper to bumper cars, hardly moving.
Additionally, I also concern about the environment. And the thing really worries me about it is the pollution. The car is kind of idling with their engines on all the time and recently there’s been so much in the news about how bad that is for air quality.
When do you travel by car?
I prefer to travel by car when I go to the farthest places. The car allows me to travel in an air-conditioned environment and provides adequate protection from inclement weather.
In addition, cars are fast and perfect for covering long distances in a short period of time.
Do you like to sit in the front or back when travelling by car?
Well, I think it depends on the situation.
If I go with my family then I like to sit in the back seat but when I go with my partner then I love to sit in the front row. I see the various majestic views whenever I sit in the front seat.
Do you like to travel by car?
Yes, I love to commute by car
Because one of the most significant benefits of travelling by car is flexibility. I can stop wherever I want, take any street, any shortcut that siuts my commute hours.
On top of that, travelling by car is getting to enjoy fantastic views. Also, I can save my time and a bit of money as well.
