Exposure to actual or threatened death, serious injury or sexual violence (either first hand or through a family/friend); can have intrusive, dissociation avoidance or hyperarousal symptoms,
Acute Stress Disorder/ PTSD
Symptom of ASD/PTSD; recurrent thoughts of an event (can’t stop thinking about it) or feeling the event recurring
Intrusive Symptoms
Symptom of ASD/PTSD; altered sense of reality of one’s surroundings or oneself (seeing oneself from another’s perspective); inability to remember an important aspect of a traumatic event
Dissociative Symptoms
(Depersonalization/Derealization) is the persistent or recurrent experiences of feeling detached from one’s body, mind or feelings
